In a Facebook post, a spokesperson for the museum said: “The fire at The Crooked House, Himley, is obviously devastating news, after the recent sale seemed to offer a future for the building, albeit with a new use.
'I was extremely happy to see so many bricks being salvaged from The Crooked House site.
Mrs Taylor, 34, controls the letting and real estate firm ATE Farms, registered to the same address as Himley Environmental, which runs a quarry and landfill site next to the site where The Crooked House once stood.

The 64-year-old, who is from Wolverhampton originally, said: "My view is that the demolition of The Crooked House is not only a local but a national scandal – but I am not sure that Wolves supporters would be unified in having a chant.
The Crooked House - famed for items seemingly sliding up hill on the bar - has been engulfed in a blaze.
